I think you guys need to watch the fight without audio. I will concede shogun fought bloody well, and it was close…but the commentators were biased. They put alot of mouth to many of the strikes delivered to machida, alot of which didnt do squat. His posture changed little during the entire fight.
Yes, shogun was more aggressive, and I think he is just amazing, but dont be so quick to jump to his corner. A re-match will sort it, lets hope we get one soon.

dj, you said it yourself. Rua was more aggressive the entire fight. Machida did nothing to keep his title and didn’t land many, if any, clean shots. Machida was cut on his lip, had bruised ribs, and was slow at the end of the fight. Rua controlled the ring, landed cleaner shots, and won that fight. This was another fight of boxing judges judging a MMA fight in my opinion. They give little credence to leg kicks, Rua’s main attack.
